ChaloGhar (“we”) runs chaloghar.com, a property listing platform for Noida and Delhi NCR. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and the choices you have, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

What we collect

• Account details: your name, mobile number, and — if you sign in with Google — your email address and Google account ID. We never receive your Google password and never post to your Google account.
• Profile details you choose to add: whether you are a buyer, owner, agent or builder, agency name and RERA registration number.
• Listings you post: property details, photos and location. Photos are re-processed and their hidden metadata (including GPS location) is removed.
• Enquiries: when you contact a lister or view their number, the lister receives your name and mobile number so they can call you back.
• Technical data: IP address and basic logs, used for security, abuse prevention and fixing errors. Saved listings are stored on your own device.

Why we use it

• To run your account, show listings and connect buyers or tenants with owners, agents and builders.
• To verify listings and protect users from fraud, fake listings and spam (for example daily limits on viewing phone numbers).
• To meet legal obligations, including RERA advertising rules and requests from authorities.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share it with advertisers.

Who we share it with

Listers you contact; service providers that help us run the site (hosting in India, SMS and sign-in providers, payment processor), bound to use it only for us; and authorities when the law requires.

How long we keep it

Account data is kept while your account is active. Listings expire automatically after 45 days unless renewed. Enquiry records are kept for up to 2 years for dispute and fraud handling, then deleted.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, withdraw consent, and nominate someone to exercise these rights. Write to our Grievance Officer at support@chaloghar.com; we respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

Security

Data is stored on servers in India (Mumbai), encrypted in transit (HTTPS), with access limited to authorised staff.
